Orientation at Delaware State

Yesterday I had orientation at the college I will attending June 20 of 2009. I left at 7:00 departing from my mother's house leaving with three of my siblings and of course my mother. We arrived at the college at 8:20 ten minutes before the orientation started. Once we got there we had refreshments then went to go sit down in this big auditorium well parents had to sit separate from there children the freshmen students. That sounds so good to say. I am a freshmen at Delaware State! While sitting in the auditorium they talked about the rules and regulations of the summer program that I have to attend. They also talked about what you can and can't where our curfew and the classes and things we will be covering during the summer program. The program starts June 20 and ends I think sometime in late July. We get two weekends to come home which is ok I guess.

Mrs. Bogal the person in charge of this program told us that we will have a lot of work to do from sun down to sun up. Some how I have to get use to this I know this is going to kill me but I think of it as it will all pay off, and it will. I am getting extra credits for going and completing the summer program with a 2.0 if I don't complete it with a 2.0 they send you home and you have to start all over again. Not GOING TO BE ME! The meeting was extremely long then after that we all slipt up to go and take the ACT a test that we was not warned about. Hopefully I did good. There was some math problems on there that I recently had in Algebra 2 that I knew how to solve with no problems thanks to Mr. Snyder and Mr. Davidson. Next after the test we walked around for a little ate and then left I had to be back before my little brother got off the school bus. The food was good there, there was collard greens, macaroni and cheese and fried chicken. Sounds good doesn't it.
We left Delaware State around 2:00 we was doing good time floating down the highways trying to make it back before 3:30 then BAM! Right over the Delaware Memorial Bridge I caught a flat. So I called my boyfriend to go to my mother's house to be there when my brother gets off the bus. In the mean while help came fixed my tire and we kept it moving. He didn't even charge us. Soon as I got back to New Jersey I went to get four new tires because my other ones were bad also and since I had the money right there and then I just got them. Saves me some trouble. That was my day!

New website (Polyvore)

So there is this new website named Polyvore that my friend Cierra put me on to. It's really neat. You can get clothes from anywhere like Charolette Ruuse or Forever 21 mix and match the clothes to make your own outfits. The outfit's that you make, you can post them so everyone else can see. On the website, of each item ever posted, they give you the price of that item and tell you what store the item is from in case you want to purchase it. In addition to this you can enter your outfit into a contest and the best one wins. Now I'm not too sure what you win, but you win something. I think it's amazing how you can look for one item and put in specifics down to the color, what type of dress, and the store it came from. I love this website, it's so much better then blogging. LOL I recommend to everyone! Try it!!!

Senior Trip!!

Geez!! Time has flown by fast with senior trip one week away then graduation. After that I am off to college. I am so excited! We are going to Disney World a place I have never been to before so I know I am going to have a ball. I am roomates with Turq, Mesha, and radiah which will also be fun. Mr.Maggi said we have to be in the room lights out by 12:00 midnight but with the people I am rooming with, you know that's not happening. This weekend I plan to finish my shopping for this speacial trip because of course you know I have to be flyy! Turq and I plan to go to Cherry Hill mall maybe even Philly to spend Some money!!!!! The only worry of mine going to Florida though is the swine flu. It is supose to be big down there. I just hope I have a fun heathly and safe trip there and back.

Trashy Fashion!

One thing I learned from my sponsor is that there is a big difference between fashion and just trash. Fashion clothing has to look good enough to make someone else want to wear it. It doesn't always have to match but it does need to look descent. It can be crazy but crazy enough to fit your personality. For example, tutu's are in. It is known to be a fashion statement worn to clubs and even for everyday purposes not just in dance class. A uniqe person like me would wear a tutu to a party and would look fine but every one can't do that.

If I had to choose again

If i had to choose another thing to do besides fashion for senior project, I would choose forensic science. I realized this while preparing for Snyder's fourth marking period project. I have always been interested in forensic science since early childhood. Always watching CSI, The First 48 and other crime genes productions. Criminal Justice (Forensic Science) is something else that I am truly interested in and maybe after graduating will pursue my desires in that field. But in the mean time, fashion is my thing!

Daisy the queen of hats!

My grandmom, the qeen of hats, Daisy. She does it all, meaning my grandmother is the fashion trend. Everything she wears is always fashionable even down to a nightgown. Maybe thats wear I got my taste of fashion from. Daisy! you got to love her. My grandmother never wears pants, she doesn't even own a pair of pants. She is such a role model to me.

You know the older ladys that go to church with the big hats and you can never see past to the precher, well that's Daisy. She has every color hat and shoe to match you can ever think of. Not only that but all of her sisters are similar to her also. When I am older I tend to be just like her the hat and fashion queen.

My first Creation

Senior project presentation is almost near of course as you know I am presenting a fashion show. I am making all of my clothing and majority of the accessories from scratch and my first creation which is a tutu is complete. I thought it was going to be hard making it but it wasn't at all. Just 3 steps, sew, pull, then I'm done. I had two helpers who are both of my models Erica and Justin. (Thanks) each tutu took about 15 Min's. I am going to making various colors to match my rock star scene. I can't wait I'm so excited to put every thing together and strut my skills.

Vic Levitan's visit

Yesterday during the meeting that I came late to beacause I had had, Vic Levitan talked alot about ideas for our senior presentation. I learned that i now have to really start planning everything out carefully and quick because timeis getting short. Something else I learned which would benifit me and my presentation is to leave time at the end for anyone who may have questions. I would of have never remembered to do that. I also have to test out my visual project before presenting and remember to invite and give big thanks to my sponsor and mentor.

Senior Project!!!

April 9th, 2009
Dear Mrs. Carroll,

I chose senior project to get a feel of my future career in fashion. I figured if I can get an early start in what I want to pursue my career in, why not start now. My presentation for senior project is so far coming along well. I plan to put together a fashion show of fun themes, clothing and accessories. What makes my presentation unquestionably unique is that I will be presenting every thing that I have made throughout the year from scratch. I have been working very hard with the help of my sponsor, my mentor Ms. Clark and Mrs. Porter my fashion and design teacher to make my presentation worth while. One big project that I have started working on which will appear in a part of my presentation is a paper dress that I have started to make out of newspaper. Right now it is a working process but in time, it will be impressive.

By creating this project, I will prove to myself that I am able to complete high standards that I set for myself for example, making a paper dress which is not simple. Doing research on exactly how to make the dress would also give me more knowledge about fashion and the fashion industry. No one can really help me complete this project but myself. They are my ideas and creation so I think I would be best at determining how to put the project together. I will receive great ideas and suggestions from my peers and people who do support me but overall I have to complete this project myself. I am ecstatic to see how my senior project and presentation will turn out. My own actual fashion show put together all by me, I’m so anxious.

Sincerely,

Finding a hairstyle for prom

Finding the perfect hairstyle for prom is not an easy thing yo do at all, especially when you are attending three different proms! You have to find the right style to match your dress and also make sure you can wear it for prom weekend. Depending on the type of dress your wearing, you can wear an up do hairstyle, long curly hairstyle, or even straight. One type of dress I am wearing to prom is very unique. I was thinking about wearing long curly hair something that Tyra Banks would wear in rip the red carpet. That's exactly what I am going to do for this years prom Rip the Run Way. So watch out girls!!!!!!!!!

Famous quote from Coco Chanel part 2

" Fashion is not something that exist in dresses only, fashion is in the sky, in the street, it's a person personality, fashion has to do with ideas, art and the way we live and what is happening."
-Coco chanel
This quote by Coco means alot to me and it is also true. Fashion is everywhere and made with everthing. Like for example a paper dress. You can get ideas from anywhere to create fashion. Coco Chanel really nip it in the butt when she stated this quote. It all depends on the type of person wearing the creation and how you work it. For my preoject, I am looking for models who are outstanding and unique to model my clothing beacuse i am expressing and that is the type of person I am.

Last Friday

Last friday I went to see my sponsor Mrs. Sheila and she encouraged me the most ever. She gave me all types of ideas to start on my senior project presentation. She brought to my attention things I have never even dreamed about doing, or should I say making. Mrs Sheila has been such a big help and inspiration to me from the first time we meet. I can't wait to see her next week. Maybe she can show me some pictures of fashions shows she has been to. I am almost ready to gather clothing for my senior project presentation and start creating unique styles out of them. The way I am feeling right now I know I am goiing to do good.

Overwhelmed!!!!!!!!

I haven't blogged all week. It seems like I am falling behind because I am so focused on doing my research paper that I never seem to have time to blog or write in my journal. Outside of school I am working and doing other homework for other classes. i am overwhelmed with things to do and blogging right now is the least of my worries. When I do have time to blog I have nothing to say. I want to blog about something new. I just wanted to get this out so I figured why not a great time to blog. Well I am about to get back to my research paper which is due April 1st. So much to do with so little time!

Finding bathing suits for the summer

Every year it seems to me that finding bathing suits for the summer is very difficult especially for a person with a big bust size. So I came across this bathing suit from Victoria's secret that I want really bad but unfortunately the top part of the bathing suit doesn't fit properly. So I went to about. com to surf the net to find ideas of a bathing suit to wear for a person of my shape and size. They gave me some good ideas on what tops to wear like if you have a bigger bust size then average people you should go with a whole piece or halter top bathing suit and if you have short legs you should go with bottoms that fit your hips. I think this site really helped me to find the perfect bathing suit for the summer because I don't want to be walking around with a bathing suit falling off in all types of areas.

A glamorous, big-budget short film of the silent variety will premiere in Paris this week, and it’s all due to Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld, who donned a director’s hat and let rip his encyclopedic knowledge of Gabrielle Chanel’s early years. The 10-minute movie — in all its flapper glory, as these stills illustrate — will be screened at Le Ranelagh theater on Wednesday night, along with a showing of Chanel’s Paris-Moscow, a luxury pre-fall ready-to-wear collection embellished by the couture ateliers Chanel owns.“Today, people are ready for silent movies again, as they spend time — hours, I would say — looking at text messages and e-mails,” says Lagerfeld. “I always loved silent movies.”The designer gathered some familiar members of his entourage, including model Brad Koenig and his bodyguard/private secretary Sébastien Jondeau (mustachioed and surly as a Russian nightclub owner), for the cast, along with model Edita Vilkeviciute, her gamine allure, jutting chin and ramrod posture creating a beguiling portrayal of the young Coco from 1913, when the legendary designer first set up shop. As reported in WWD Nov. 17,
Tallulah Ormsby-Gore plays a Chanel model who has to sell her real-life mother, Lady Amanda Harlech, a hat in the film. Even the workers in the Chanel atelier got to play parts as workers in the fashion house. “I cannot take extras,” Lagerfeld notes. “They don’t know how to touch the clothes.”The second part of the film takes place in 1923, when Chanel was already established, and is interspersed with newsreel images from the First World War. The plot, conveyed with title cards, involves a fascinating cast of characters, many tied to Russia, including Chanel’s lover the Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich, from whom she borrowed the pea jacket and pelisse, giving them a feminine touch. “It’s a funny movie, unpretentious,” says Lagerfeld. “Chanel was a charming woman, at liberty to seduce men. Everybody this year has decided to make a movie about Chanel, and you know their historical worth is not always too exact.”Lagerfeld’s mini movie took two days to shoot in a studio on the outskirts of Paris, and was “made like a Hollywood production,” the designer says. “I had every image in my head.” As for the collection he will show, he says it will be “constructed,” incorporating elements of imperial Russia and Russian folklore.

10 steps to accessing your personal and professional image

The moment we see people, we make judgments about them. Our initial, split-second contact with a person is eye-to-body. We look at their face and clothes first, and evaluate them on a scale of attractiveness and whether we consider them friendly or threatening; but it doesn’t stop there. Immediately after that, we start making evaluations about their character, temperament and professional abilities. Whether we like it or not, our appearance speaks volumes about us before we say a word. Hence, your image needs to say that you are professional, credible, trustworthy and likeable. Here are 10 tips to help achieve this:
1. Your verbal and non-verbal communication styles must be consistent. Your appearance is your most powerful non-verbal communication tool. Consistency breeds trust; make sure that your body language and appearance are consistent with your message. Unless the language of the body synchronizes with your words, you will convey a hollow message at best, and an uncomfortable, dishonest one at worst.

2. A pantsuit adds instant authority and easy elegance to every woman’s wardrobe. Pair it with a classic white shirt and pumps for the boardroom or with a tank top and heels for a more relaxed look.

3. Don’t wear clothes that are uncomfortable or do not reflect your personal style. Regardless of your personality and lifestyle, there are options available in building a professional wardrobe. Fashion-411 has an easy to use fashion personality quiz to help you make these choices. Email us at mcole@fashion-411.com to request your copy.

4. As a businesswoman, you should project an image of professionalism while maintaining an updated and modern appearance. Purchase Trend or Trend-Classic combination garments that have been around long enough not to look faddish, yet create a current and fashionable image. If you wear all classics, you run the risk of appearing old fashioned. If you wear nothing but the latest fads, you appear to be victim to the whim of fashion. Trend or Trend-Classic styles will stand the test of time and are worth the investment.

5. Adding trendy accessories to an outfit is an inexpensive and simple way to convert a traditional classic look into a conservatively fashionable one.

6. Use the 8-count rule when choosing accessories. If you count the number of points of interest you have on your total outfit, the number should not exceed 8. Include belts, decorative buttons, rings, earrings, watches, glasses, pins, necklaces, embroidery, bracelets and shoe ornaments.

7. Invest in the right jacket. Every woman needs at least one great jacket that she can wear with jeans, slacks or a skirt. Even in a more casual work atmosphere, a high-quality casual jacket looks professional and works well for that last minute meeting when worn with a nice pair of trousers or over a dress.

8. Your hairstyle is the most important accessory you wear each day. Invest in an attractive, basic design and weight distribution, a professional color and cutting technique. A good haircut will pay off in easy maintenance and a polished appearance.

9. When available, purchase all three pieces to a suit – jacket, skirt and pants. This interchangeable set will make packing for a business trip much easier.

10. When visiting a company, find out what their dress code is so that you can dress accordingly. If the company has a casual dress environment, and your dress style is too corporate, you may be judged as formal or stuffy. If, on the other hand, they have a more traditional dress environment and you come dressed too casually, you stand the risk of not being taken seriously.

Prada gets tough at Milan fashion week

Reporting from Milan, Italy -- Being a woman is a blood sport, according to Miuccia Prada, who on Sunday showed her own powerful vision of the tough chic that is emerging as one of the biggest fashion trends for fall. And it didn't involve the rocker wear we've seen from so many other Italian labels, including Gucci. The arena seating should have been a clue. Prada's vision suggested female gladiators dressed to kill in mannish, rust-colored coats slit up the sides like loincloths; jeweled, fringed suede tunic dresses and wool tabards with fur breastplates. The cold, harsh world is no match for these warrior women, pounding the pavement in crepe-soled shoe boots, braving the floods in rubber gators and warding away the competition in killer heels with suede plumage.

Sponsor

So I went to meet my sponor for the first time with my mentor Ms. Clark last Friday at her shop in Haddon Heights. Her name is Mrs. Sheila she is a very vibrante person. In just the little time that I spent with her, she taught me that fashon designers use colors that are in season, like this season, the colors are gray and black, she told me a little about how to do a runway, the different scenes and music, the background etc. She gave me a little insight on what she does which is a little of fashion damce and competions all in one. She showed me pictures from her previous work which gave me many ideas for my runway show that I will be presenting at the end of senior project. I am extactic that she excepted the part in being my sponor, she reregistered the hope in this senior project class. I am very pleased and I can't wait for her to show me the various arts of fashion.

Fashion NoNo

Beyonce, singer/actor walked the red carpet with a phony pony and no jewerly. Wat was she thinking? I have never ever seen Beyonce look so horrible especially on the red carpet. The red carpet is where you strut and show off all your beautiful clothing , your stlye, your personality. i mean don't get me wrong her dress was pretty, but it would have looked beautiful if she accented it with jewerly and a nice hair style to match. She should know out of all people that you have to always have a hairstyle to match and jewerly to go with the outfit. Her mother is a clothes designer. i couldn't belive my eyes when I saw this picture. This Diva, is not on her game.

P.S. Happy birthday Turq!!

Finally!!

I have finally found a sponsor. About time! I have been looking and looking everywhere and I began to loose hope but then, someone came through. i had some help from Morgan and Ms. porter and mostly my mentor Ms. Clark. They just kept helping me and pushing me not to give up. This i s some weight lifted off my shoulders, one less thing to worry about. So far every Friday is the given date which we will meet in Audobon at her spot. I can't wait to really start on my senior project and learn about fashion. I know this will turn ou t to be a great experience.

She had a dress that was so amazing something like no other. He is a very talented young man and I can't wait to see what other fashion he will come up with. Richie is the new Louis Vution! FIERCE, that's all I can say.

The First Lady and Fashion!

A fashion icon would have an eye-catching signature look and, while the president's wife has the power to set trends, her appeal is refreshingly not so defined and deliberate, said fashion observers at the semi-annual Fashion Week in New York, where designers are showing their Fall 2009 collections.
Michelle Obama "is more real than iconic," said David Wolfe, creative director of the Doneger Group, which forecasts trends. "She doesn't have a locked-in fashion look. She experiments, which is what fashion is about these days."
References to Obama, 45, as an icon of fashion are everywhere. Thin and statuesque, the attorney and mother of two graces the cover of Vogue magazine's March issue.
She wins lavish attention from designers, editors and stylists. Stores quickly sell out of the clothes she wears.
Jason Wu, the young designer of Obama's white inaugural gown and the magenta dress she wears in Vogue, credits the first lady with reinvigorating the industry.
"In her own way, she is like a stimulus package for the fashion industry," Wu said.
Few first ladies deserved the title as fashion icons, said Mandi Norwood, a former magazine editor writing a book on Obama's style.
"We've been trying desperately to promote the first lady into fashion icon status, but I'm not sure any of them have truly deserved that title," she said.
Obama does have some company in U.S. history, said Lisa Kathleen Graddy, curator of "The First Ladies at the Smithsonian" exhibit.
Frances Cleveland's clothes and hairstyle were copied and commented upon, and advertisers used her to sell products she had never seen or used. The Victorian-era bustle even fell out of U.S. fashion when it was reported she would no longer wear the rear-enhancing gowns.
Another fashionable first lady was Grace Coolidge, who is considered to have popularized fashion, said Graddy.

Almost There

As of now I still have not found another sponsor for senior project. I have been calling around everywhere. Today Ms. Hafner called the The Art Institute and Drexel University where they have a good fashion program. We were not able to get through but we did leave a message. I have a good feeling that they might be interested in the program and will consider to be my sponsor. I going to keep on trying and hopefully by next week I will have a permanent sponsor. If not, I'll just do photography, I know I will have a definite sponsor for that.

Frustration

It is very frustrating when you have had someone to agree about being your sponsor then all of a sudden they do not contact you any more. People may think that I am not putting effort into finding a sponsor but little do they know, I am. Well last month I had already found one. Since she gave up on me I have to start all over from scratch which is not easy. So far as of yesterday I have called three places. One person basically said she wasn't interested, another stated call them back after 10 o'clock tomorrow, and the third person did not answer the phone, so I left a message. Ms. sykes who is such a big help to me gave me a great idea to call the Unversity of arts to see is maybe a senior student attending there could be of any help to sponsor me. Right now I am desperate I am willing to get any sponsor I can get that knows about fashion. If I am not able to find a sponor for fashion, I think I might swtich over to photography. That would be better for me because my father takes pictures and I already know a little about what angles to take pictures etc. Well hopefully something comes through for me and quick because I am ready to explore.

My best friend, My riidah, My sister, Radiah (Diggy) Since seventh grade me and Radiah have known each other, I was the first one to introduce myself to her. We have grown to be the best of friends over the years. I truly do love her like a sister. We have cried together, shared secrets together, reminisced about the past together, and even had arguments with one another but at the end I know she will always be right there by my side. Senior year has showed a big improvement on our friendship and how much I really do appreciate to have a real friend like her. I have been going through a lot of changes, friend, relationship, and family wise and I can admit that Radiah never told me she didn't have the time to listen or acted like she didn't care, she did just the opposite, she would not leave me alone until I told her what had me upset and clarfiyed that everything would be alright. When it was really important and I was in the wrong , Radiah would never fail to let me know. That's one thing I love about her, she never hesitates to keep it real and in return I always do the same. It's just natural! Soon, senior year we be over and we will have to depart from each other, off to different colleges and different lives. Become women and have families but there is no doubt in my mind that we are going to forget about each other, we will just grow with one another. Then when we finally have families of our own, we can look back and continue to reminisce. I love you Diggy! (Mrs. Levi)

CoNfUsEd!!!

On days like this I feel confused. i don't know what is going on around me anymore. School problems, family problems, work problems, and relationship problems. I am so overwhelmed with everything. I am now realizing through situations who my real friends are. I have made some rock hard mistakes that may bruise me for the rest of my life but i can't change them. I am so sick and tired of school, mainly english class. It seems like we do the same things every day. IT'S SOOOO BORING! maybe it's me. Maybe I have a problem with my self and that's the reason why I am annoyed with everything and everybody. I feel like I don't know who I am, I don't know what I am supose to do to think the way to react. NOTHING! I am not me. But who knows what's wrong. To put the icing on the cake this whole relationship thing I am goin through is only making matters worse. I feel like I want to give up I don't want to have a part of him anymore but then I don't want to just let five years go to waste. I am confused and stuck. I try to think things through and not worry about other situations besides my school work but my mind just seems to wonder back everytime. ughh am I going CRAZY? It's like I want to be happy and everyday I put up a front and smile so no one can no I am sad but when I go home, I am jus t so lonely.

Let it snow

Yes!!!! it's finally snowing and I don't want it to stop. We haven't had any real snow all winter and the winter is about to be over. I have been waiting patiently for the day I wake up, look at the news, and is told THERE IS NO SCHOOL. I think that it is about time for us seniors to have another break. There has been snow up north jersey, snow in futher up pennsylvaina, but no snow here, it just skips right over us. Well yesterday was groundhog day. The day the groundhog is supose to determine how much or little of winter we have left, since he ran back into his whole like a scardy cat, then that means we are capable of having six more weeks of winter. Maybe in those six weeks we will get some real snow and I can make snow mans and go sleding, which is the best part.

The mystery of Sharita Williams

The Mystery of Sharita Williams has finally been solved. Today I was notified that the person who killed Sharita has been found. In case you don't know who she is, let me inform you. Shrita is from Peensauken, she attened peensauken high school, she was the friend, well more like sisters to my best friend page. I met her once so I didn't really know her that well but every time I did hear things about her, they were never bad. Sherita was found dead Nov 16, 2003 one afternoon near 36th street bridge at the age of 16. Rumor was, was that her boyfriend killed her. Come to find out it was a guy by the name of Warren Dixon (23) who transferred to peensauken high that fall. Sherita never had one conversation with this guy but yet he was able to do such a horrible thing to this sweet innocent girl. finally this mystery has come to an end and now Sherita is able to live peacefully in heaven. R.I.P Sherita Williams.

The third chapter is through!!!

It' s finally over this chapter is through, I am kind of relieved because of all the things you put me through. In the begging it was all fun and games but that soon had to end once you put dirt on my name. I thought we loved each other equally, but I guess I was wrong. U did me dirty this whole time and I went right along. (LOL) I don't feel dumb just upset, I will learn from this experience, it was something I will never forget. I want you two to be happy together, don't let me get in the way, because on the other side I know there will be a brighter day.

Yesterday during the meeting in class with Mr. Snyder, Ms. Sykes, and Abrams, I think it went well. It seems to me that our class ideas were finally heard by Mr. Snyder and Ms. Sykes rather then Abrams who always seems to want to do things his way. I kind of understand a little more about what we are objected to do as members part of the senior project. The class came to conclusion that it was a better idea to write in the journals more and blogger less because it would just be easier. Some members of the group stated that they liked blogging but not the fact that it is open to public, and that sometimes there is nothing to blog about. It is also misunderstood to us what we have to blog about, first we were told we had to blog about our career and the next day something different. Now that we have a better understanding of what to do I feel relieved.

Lights, Cameras, Action

Lights, Camera, Action, Divas to the Runway. I can not wait to show everyone what I have learned about fashion! Although I'm still looking for a permanent sponsor to show me about fashion, I have been teaching myself. Every chance I get, I am on the computer looking up fashion, patterns, colors, hairstyles, etc. Soon it will be my time to shine. Turk and I are going to do this through having a runway, the greatest runway ever to hit Lindenwold High from the class of 09. Doesn't that sound extravagant! We already starting planing background colors and music for the models to do their thing with and the best part is, is that we are making all of our clothes by hand. how talented are we!?! See alot of people do not know the unquie side of me and about how much I truly love fashion for example Mr. Abrams. They only see me dress inside of school and that's wearing a uniform. I can't wait to see the wow expressions on peoples faces.

As you all know, fashion is why I took senior project. I am obesed with fashion. I love the vibrate colors, the unique pictures, and pretty models. I think it is neat how one person can make so many different things from just puttin different frabics together. the crazy thing is, is that the clothing never comes out ugly or a mistake it is just unique and after while become a trend. I can't wait to start making my own clothes for the senior project. They are going to be beyond amazing!

Over my 4 day weekend

Over my 4 day weekend I had crazy fun. Starting off with Friday, i went to see the new movie Notorious B.I.G. I went with my boyfriend, Tyana, Miguel, and Thomas. We went to see the 8:25 movie. It was very touching and interesting. I even cried at the end. On Saturday I went back to the movies to see My Bloody Valentine. This time I went with Sam, Dennis and Booshon. We meet Cierra and Ebony there. Even though it was not 3-D like it was suppose to be the movie still came out exciting. Later on that night there was a party in Lawnside that I attended. It was boring but anything beats being in the house bored. Sunday I worked 11-7 as usual and Monday Mesha, Booshon, Anthony, tyshone, Devar, and I found our way to what was once called The Falls. Now it is called funplex. We played all types of games like bumper cars and Lazar tag. Lazar tag was the best. We all split up into groups and was running around like chickens with their heads cut off. The adrenaline was rushing as I running around wild shooting my opponents and at the end I came out with a score of 3150. Tuesday I did nothing but stay in the house all day. I had to take my little sister to the doctors so as I was waiting for her to be called back, my boyfriend and I were watching the inaugration. Leaving the doctors' office we went back to Malik's house and played the wii. That was my weekend.

10 years from now!

Dr. Mrs. Mcdougald,
It's been so long since the last time we have spoken to each other. What was it, 10 years! Omg time flew past. Well in the past years I have attended Delaware State University to major in Forensic science. College was very interesting especially the trade that I was in. We had to make imaginary crime scenes, dissect dead body's, and go to work with real live detectives. I enjoyed myself so much. All of my teachers would compliment me on how devoted I was. I went to school for four years and became a great Crime scene investigator. I came out with my master's degree and now I work for the CSI. I got married my second year in college to my high school sweetheart and now we have two kids. A boy named Maliki and girl named Nylah. They are gorgeous I would love for you to meet them. In the future I plan to start my own day care then eventually retire but for now I am loving my life that I worked hard to earn.
Yours truly,
Keedah

Right now im reading chapter six in this dreadful book The child called it. David's mother is so brutal. She is treating him like a slave making, making him wash all the dishes everyday, telling him to sleep under the kitchen table with just newspapers to use as sheets, she even made this innocent boy take spoon fulls of amonia and colorox. ''You've made my life a living hell!' she sneered. `Now it's time I showed you what hell is like!' Gripping my arm, mother held it in the blue orange flame of the gas stove". David's only hope to survive is to dream, and the lie that his mothet will someday wake up a realize that she loves him. The way she tortures her abused son whom she refers to as it, is so inhumane.

How do we grade blogger

I think we should grade blogger the reagular way we grade papers. Basically it's just like grading on regular paper just through the computer. We should have to do two blogs a week and grade them according to the regular grading way.

A child called it

So we had to pick a book that we never read before and that is inspiring to us in some shape or form. My boyfriend and I on sunday before going back to school from break, decided to go to the book store (Borders) in echolon mall. Malik said to me,"Yo you never read this book, you should read it. We had to read this in school and you know I don't like reading , but I liked the book". So I had went on and bought the book A CHILD CALLED IT. So far since i have read the book it is hard to put down. The boys name is really David but no one calls him by his name. He has two other brothers but he is the only one being treated in this shameful way. In the beginning of the story, the family was one big perfect happy family then all of a sudden the mother started turning into this evil witch. Whenever papa would go away to work for a long amount of time, Mother would starve David, Beat David, and constantly call him a bad boy. She would send David to school everyday in the same clothes with holes in them and the smell; Oh the smell as they decribed it in the book was horrible! Everytime David was asked about his bruises, his mother already had his mind made up of to what stories to tell. Because David never got fed at home by second grade, he began to use his mind and think of ways to steal food at school. As I read more into the book I find out that the mother's harsh punishments only worsen. She shoves baby poo in Davids face and tells him to eat it and makes him stand in the garage for hours doing nothing. The only thing that can keep David sane is to count and be strong. This little boy is only about six or seven and is tormented the way he is. What a strong little boy he is.
